We are a collective of language scholars, teachers, and advocates who promote
research, revitalization, and renormalization of the Hawaiian language in Hawaiʻi and beyond.
This network is the result of a series of talk story and brainstorming sessions at the International Conference on Language Documentation and Conservation (ICLDC 2025), when a group of language activists, linguists, scholars, and community members involved in ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi’s revitalization realized the benefits of platforming research and language work on the language. After a year of planning, we decided to launch this network in 2026.
